[[/underline]] I perfectly recollect Her late Majesty making a Distinction between Her Different Sets of Jewels, & being very careful to keep the great Set of Brilliants, including the Stauncher and Nosegay, the Set of Pearls vca: distinct from the rest. --The Queen expressed great Anxiety wherever Stones belonging to those Sets, had been unscrewed, & worn with other Jewels, to have them immediately replaced; & when I proposed to have some of Her late Majesty's Pearls strung to the great Pearl Necklace, which was rather short, Her Majesty objected to it, making use of these Occasions of the term "they are not my own." --I believe this term applied to all those Jewels which are described on the outside of the different cases, in which they are contained, as having been found on the Queen's Arrival in England. --Her Majesty excepted the large Pearl Drop in the Center of the Necklace, telling me that She brought it from Mecklenburg.
