Extract of a Letter from His Royal Highness, The Duke of York. --Jan: [[addition]] 3 [[/addition]] 1st: --1819 "In regard to your Question as to what I know or have heard from Her Majesty at any time concerning Her Majesty's Jewells, I have to acquaint you that I perfectly recollect, that once as His Majesty was riding up the Long Walk at Windsor between my Sister Sophia & she and was talking about Her Majesty's Jewells, He said that Her Majesty chose to consider all the Jewells She had as Her own, whereas there were many which He had given Her only to wear. --The same conversation may, I Trually believe to the best of my memory did pass, more than once, but I could not venture to swear to it except that one time."
