[[underline]] An Alert of His Majesty on Foot [[/underline]] During a long continued hard frost, His Majesty one fine clear Morning, when intending to remove from The Queen's Lodge to The Queen's House in London, decided He would take a long Walk on the Road, towards London, & on this occasion He called on General Grenville, Comptroller of the Duke of York's Household Establishment, Colonel Goldsworthy Equerry to His M:y, and Coll. Digby Vice Chamberlain to The Queen, who were at this time at The Queen's Lodge, to accompany Him on this Occasion -- The former, I could observe, was by no means a Volunteer on this Alert, & which circumstance perhaps contributed not a little to animate His Majesty's exertions on this Occasion. Previous to the Start, my directions from The King, was to attend to the progress of the Carriages, consisting of [[underline]] his Own Post Chaise [[/underline]] & Four, with his Escort, and [[underline]] the Equerry Coach [[/underline]] with its Set of Horses -- H.M: now fixed the precise time for their setting out, giving Him so much law, & thereby He regulated his Calculation
