Tho' not out of his depth, H.M. in the first Instance disappeared under the Water -- His Faithful Equerry Major Price* instantly dashed in, & laying hold of the King, supported Him, not however before He had swallowed some Water and was become a little confused -- No serious consequences however Ensued, & then so promptly Extricated, His majesty was [[underline]] very soon Himself again [[/underline]] -- He remounted his Horse and rode Home -- Some time after, when I had the honor of attending H.My. in Waiting, in the course of the Chace, the Stag at one time seemed intending for [[underline]] Black Water, [[/underline]] but afterwards slanting from it, He took another direction. The King in the course of the day told Me, He had had a glimpse of [[underline]] Black water [[/underline]] and added, [[underline]] "that He did not like it" [[/underline]] -- *Major Price was Nephew to the Bishop of Durham am Excellent & most Worthy man -- He was one of My Dear [[underline]] Bosom [[/underline]] Friends, through life -- The other three were Lord Heathfield - Colonel Newton & Genl. Cartwright & these three Br. Officers of mine in the 10th Dragoons --
