Stag Chace from Kingston on Thames to [[underline]] The Greenland Docks [[/underline]] -- Among the remarkable Stag Chaces at which I have had the honor of being present as Equerry to The King & in attendance on Him are the following -- His Majesty intending to go from The Queen's House to The Queen's Lodge at Windsor gave directions to turn out a Stag that Morning, close to Kingston upon Thames. The selection of this place was to assist the [[underline]] chances [[/underline]] of the Chace leading Him towards Windsor, & for this purpose the Stag was let out of the Cart in sight of the Thames, & on the London side of Kingston. On leaving the Dear Cart The Stag shewed no Impatience, but with slow steps and with careful Eye He survey'd the Spots around, & the Croud -- Numerous Spectators on Foot besides Many Horsemen prepared for the Hunt were behind Him & the River was clear and open to Him in front -- Nothing could urge his decision to cross the Thames, & when the Croud pressed on Him to force his choice He suddenly faced Them
