[[/underline]] This Morning proved very rainy notwithstanding which His Majesty went to His stables before Eight oClock -- He was at Chapel at the usual hour, & after His Breakfast I attended Him to his Carriage, which was now ready to carry Him to His Levee at St James's Palace -- At 12 o'clock notwithstanding the Rain was not yet over, I thought a promise I had made to the Prince of Wales the last Evening to meet Him at Egham Races, claimed my punctual Attendance there -- Accordingly ordering My Phaeton I sett out for Egham Course, where there was but a thin attendance -- If I must say the truth I should not have been much disappointed if The Duke of Cumberland had not been of the number --
