I took My Post at The Carriage Door as His Majesty Enter'd it -- The Play was very crowded, & the House extremely hot -- The Performance was very tiresome being [[underline]] The Beggar's Opera reversed [[/underline]] -- The Men appearing in Women's Characters, & The Women assuming The Mens -- It is to be hoped this fancy will not spread -- Returned to The Queen 's House after the Play, made my bow with the other Attendants to Their Majesties, & settled quietly in My Old Quarters in [[underline]] St James's Square [[/underline]] for the night.
