Postillion. Our road was through Egham, Chertsey, Weybridge to Clermont where we arrived after a quick & very hot ride. His Majesty [[addition]] previous [[/addition]] to setting out, had order'd Horses to be sent on to Weybridge quietly, to relieve those We rode to Clermont & that We might find them fresh on our return from that place - On our arrival at Clermont the distance was found greater than had been calculated, & therefore H.My. order'd that a Servant should be sent to Weybridge, with directions for the Horses which were waiting there, to advance from thence to Cobham, in order that they might be nearer to Us - & [[deletion]] which [[/deletion]] by which manoeuvre, the would be brought within two miles of Us at Clermont, & thereby the Horses We had there with Us, would be much releived in their day's Work -
