is generally reckon'd an Unhealthy place -- Much owing probably to the bad supply of Water within it -- To The Heavens however they are indebted for their main supply & their measure is made up by Water brought in boats from Chatham, at considerable Expense - At most of the Doors of Sheerness is a large Cover'd Tub which receives The Rain from the Roofs of The Houses, & so precious is this Article that I observed Every Tub had its Padlock - * After some hours stay at Sheerness His Majesty reimbarked on board The Augusta & which steered towards Admiral Parkers Fleet some of which had by this time come to an Anchor near the Nore, while others were still under sail to that Anchorage - On the approach of The Augusta The * A Well of great depth & made with difficulty now gives good Supply
