From hence H. My. looked at [[underline]] The Polyphemus [[/underline]] a New Sixty Four Gun Ship on the Stocks. His Majesty then walked round the Fortifications of Sheerness, and afterwards was carried to See Several Old & unserviceable Men of War, now run on shore, & converted into Dwelling Houses for The Shipwrights & their Families -- These Ships now allotted for such purpose are divided into Separate Dwellings Well secured & lashed together to the Shore, they have communication by a bridge with one another, thereby forming a kind of Street of considerable length with Rooms & Dwellings on Each side These Houses are tiled, & their Chimneys are of Brick - In this Wooden Town upwards of three hundred Families were now living.
