deeply Engaged this day with a numerous Party at a dinner given by Lord Courtdown in The Round Tower, (in The Duke of Montagues Apartments) that I could not receive Him-- but I desired He would come after his dinner, & dress in the Room I had provided for Him in Windsor -- This great dinner in the Round Tower of Windsor Castle was given to The Kings The Queen's & The Prince of Wales's Family. At the Table I found Thirty one Persons with keen Appetites assembled to devour a Turtle given by His Majesty -- This day was very sultry, & what with walking & bustling about more than usual My foot was more painful & troublesome than I had felt it for months -- At half past six oClock We adjourned to The Music Room in Windsor Castle where
