& which the rain had probably kept from it-- After Tea in the Castle Their Majesties returned to the Queen's Lodge; The King's Band as usual played in the Music Room, & Cards in the Queen's Apartments - when this Evening The Duke of Montague (My [[underline]] Chêf as Master of the Horse to his Majesty [[/underline]] & Lord & Lady Courtown, made the Queen's Party at Whist. His Majesty played several Games at BackGammon with General Budé-- Our last occupations at Supper, & our attention to the Early occupation of our Beds, being so constantly the Windings up of our days at Windsor, need not be further noticed in these daily Memorandums-- [[underline]] Wednesday Augst. 8th.
