in His Majesty's [[underline]] Hanoverian [[/underline]] Service, & an Officer of distinguished Merit, arrived from Hanover, & came to the Concert-- [[underline]] Tuesday Augst. 7th [[/underline]] I rose this Morning as usual at Six o'Clock, & gave directions for the Equerry's Coach [[underline]] with a Set, [[/underline]] to be in readiness for Ashford Commons-- to which place after breakfast I proceeded-- At Nine o'Clock, His Majesty arrived on Ashford Common, & I was there in readiness to have the honor of handing Him from his Carriage--held his stirrup as He got on Horseback, & then immediately I mounted [[underline]] White Stockings, [[/underline]] which His Majesty had been so good as to lend Me for my attendance on Him this day at the Review of the Blues.
