of an hour with Her - and I trust She was somewhat relieved by [[unclear]] before I left Her - but She shewed great firmness of Character Great Religion and great kindness to [[underline]] everybody [[/underline]] in Her manner of Speaking - [[underline]] very Affectionate towards all Her Children [[/underline]] - and repeated how Gratefull She was to every individual for the attentions [[unclear]] Her during Her long illness - It was a very painfull task to my feelings but I shall never regret the Duty I felt if I met [[underline]] Her wishes [[/underline]] in the manner perhaps the least painfull to [[underline]] Her - [[/underline]] I am sure Her manner to [[underline]] myself [[/underline]] was most kind most heart breaking, because I was under the cruel necessity of telling Her an [[underline]] awfull truth - [[/underline]] but as a [[underline]] matter of Duty I could do it [[/underline]] - that is all I can say - I hope My Dearest Brother you can read this - but I wished to tell you all [[underline]] myself [[/underline]] though I also begged [[underline]] Taylor [[/underline]] to see it lest I might not be clear in my account - God bless you Your very truly Affte Augusta Princess Augusta to the Prince Regent Oct. 31. 1818
