His Situation about the King; or at least to plead His being on the Staff that He might not come too often [[underline]] when we must meet [[/underline]] a circumstance He was aware most painfull [[underline]] to us both. [[/underline]] But I intreated Him to remember that it was to His [[underline]] own Private Worth [[/underline]] as well as to His Public Service that He [[unclear]] the being appointed by Enemy to the King, and that it was [[underline]] my Duty [[/underline]] to exert every Effort [[underline]] not to expose my feelings [[/underline]] both for [[underline]] His [[/underline]] sake and [[underline]] my [[/underline]] own I therefore begged that [[underline]] He [[/underline]] would take His regular [[underline]] Annual [[unclear]], [[/underline]] and [[underline]] come [[/underline]] as [[underline]] seldom as He could [[/underline]] do at other times consistent with that Gratitude, which He must feel for the Kings marked favour towards Him, and which it was His Duty to testify. To this plan He agreed fully, and He has never deviated from this line of Conduct. -- A [[underline]] third time [[/underline]] He was ordered abroad, and painfull as the thoughts were of our being separated again, it was a mutual consolation [[underline]] to us both [[/underline]] that You and Dear Frederick /to whom I had mentioned it in 1805) were apprized [[underline]] of our Attachment [[/underline]] for had He fallen, He Knew you would have felt for me, and have Affectionately soothed my Wounded Heart, and I was certain certain that [[underline]] both my Kind Brothers [[/underline]] would have respect and Esteemed the Character which had acted in so honorable a manner towards your Sister, as He always has done, and have shared His sorrow, and extended Your friendship to Him, had any thing happened to me whilst He was abroad. - I now beseech You my Dearest to consider [[underline]] our Situation [[/underline]] if it is in your power to [[underline]] make us happy I know you will.
