The Russel sailed from the Port a [[underline]] second [[/underline]] time with the Whitby Armd Ship on the 3rd, and I am sorry to find by the Master of the Dispatch Schooner from St. Kitts, that both Sailed from thence on the 9th in the Evening, and were standing into Basseterre Road the next Morning, having seen the Enemys Fleet, so that there is great reason to fear they will be taken unless they should immediately bear away to leeward. I have the honor to be Sir Your most obedient humble Servant Signed S: Hood Admiral Sir Geo: B: Rodney Barf. K: B. and Commander in chief &ca. &ca. &ca. Or any flag officer senior to Rear Admiral Saml. Hood. A Copy. Saml. Hood.
