Letter [copy?] from Capt. Thomas Spry to Rear-Adm. Joshua Rowley forwarding information recently received that the Spanish intended to return to the Cape towards the end of October to join the French in an attack on Jamaica, and reporting other information about movements of enemy ships and troops.

and Ten Thousand Troops—If this part of the Intelligence is true I supposed you will hear of it from St. Lucia or the Windward Islands — I should suspect the Spaniards have not abandoned their design on Jamaica by Don Galvez & his Troops being certainly at the Cape. I shall proceed off the Old Cape and if I should obtain any Intelligence of consequence, shall dispatch the Leroine to acquaint you with it.
