There is so much Comfort in all Your accounts from Deal Castle that I cannot possibly res ['res' crossed out] deprive myself any longer the pleasure of expressing my joy upon it. May it please Providence to restore Your little charge [Prince Alfred] to his Natural Health and Spirits that We may the sooner hope the pleasure of seeing You amongst us again'; on Queen Charlotte's birthday and the attendance of Princess Augusta at the Ball; on the death of her sister-in-law [Princess Friederike Caroline Luise of Hesse-Darmstadt]; on the health of Lord Winchelsea; on the illness of Lady Juliana; 'To Morrow is fixed for the removal of the Family in the Country, it will not prove a very settled life in the beginning as the King will be obliged to come to town every Week until the Parliament is prorogued, this Circumstance does not make it very advantageous to my Daughters, as the frequent removals from one place to another put a stop to all serious employment'; 'I must Commission You my Dear Lady Charlotte with a Kiss for little dear Alfred, which I flatter myself You will not be ashamed off nor blush at'; illness of Mrs Carter. Signed and dated at 'Q.H.' [Queen's House]. 'K' written in top left hand corner and '180' written in pencil at top Envelope marked 'Q' and addressed to Deal Castle. With seal.
