On life at Weymouth including Lord Radnor's breakfast and sailing; 'This Morning we were agreably Surprized with letters from Naples by which the Kg received the Confirmation of Admiral Nelson's Victory over the French Fleet...from Ireland the accounts also continue favourable, & now I hope that by the two German Mails which are expected something good will come from my poor Unhappy Country people. May the Almighty open the Eyes of the Princes of the German Empire for tho we cannot repair the Mischief that is dun already, we may yet prevent greater Evils by unanimity'; the match between Lord William Seymour and Miss ?Clitheroe; health of Amelia: 'We have however received great Comfort, from a Similar case in this part of the World, where a Girl of Her own age Stout & Strong was five Years ago seized in the same way, all simptoms so exactly alike that is makes one Start, who is now quite recovered able to Walk two Miles a Day'; health of the Duchess of York; Edward: 'The accounts of Poor Eduards Fall are much more Serious than was expected, The Physicians & Surjeons are of oppinion that an Absess is forming in His thigh of which the matter lies very deep & being Sensible of their own ignorance rather wish Him to be moved to England in case any opperation should be perfomed'; Mr ?Batten; Mr Churchill; possible parting of Sir Willoughby and Lady Jane Ashton; the family and the weather; his fall Signed and dated at Weymouth
