Birthday wishes: 'I should have wished to add a little Cadeau which as usual is not finished but will arrive in a Day or two & tho Small the Gift I flatter Myself it may prove of some use as You are known to read & write much by Candle light, & if it saves Yr Eyes it will entirely answer the purpose' Signed and dated at Windsor
