Apologies for not sending two pounds sooner; expresses sympathy at separation from 'Dear George. I trust it will not be for as long a Period as You now think'; prays God 'will protect Your Dear good Son the same at Corfu as in London'; hopes that 'the airs of Brighton may be of ?use to your returning Sleep'; went to Kew yesterday ('being in the Grounds which always does my Heart pad - and calms and soothes and Comforts me'). Signed and dated 'C. H. St James' Envelope addressed to Somerset Street. With seal
