Thanking Lord and Lady Arran for their kind note. Augusta regrets not to have been able to go to London and see Frederick one last time - she is bed-bound for a while and she is stil now unable to walk without a stick because her knees get tired soon.
Augusta is glad to hear the news about Col. Wheatly that she read on the morning newspaper.
