Description
Augusta is glad to know that George is happy with the present state of the Country and, in particular, with the fact that he was received very well to and from the House of Lords - as Miss Keynards's brother-in-law wrote to her. Augusta believes that he should follow in the path of their father to secure the affection of the nation.
She is glad everything has been settled between him and Frederick [Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany]. She would like to know if there are three or four rooms available at St James's that can be used by Miss Garth who is struggling after Mr Garth became very ill - and he will probably die soon.
Augusta has been suffering of a bad cough; to cure it Battiscombe [Robert, Apothecary in Ordinary] ordered her to apply leeches on her throat - she is finding this remedy quite beneficial.
